Question by Iker Casillas: How easy is it give a baby in adoption?
I would like to know how easy (and likely) is it to give a baby in adoption. In other words, is it possible that no one will want a specific baby and therefore it will be impossible to give him/her in adoption (considering a normal and healthy baby)? Also, do you think families are less interested in babies born to a young couple (late teens – early 20s). Also, how expensive can the whole process be? I mean, for the couple who is giving the baby away. Are adopting families willing to cover some of the medical expenses related to the birth of the baby?

Dear Iker, I read what pip said and I agree, you shouldn’t be bullied or coerced into giving up your baby.I understand why she feels the way she does, but makes me sound like a bad person. so, let me tell you my story. I am 30 years old and my husband is 35. we have been married for 6 years and trying to have a baby for 5 years. We have been doing infertility treatments for over a year. I have had 3 failed IUI”s and 2 IVF’”s that resulted in miscarriages. I lost my last one at 2 months. She was due on my birthday on November 23rd, 2010. I have had a lot of blood tests done to try to find out what is causing this, but no luck. In the meantime, my insurance will no longer pay for the infertility treatments, so we are trying a frozen embryo treatment on the 30th. We had to scrimp and save all our money to pay for all of it ourselves. If this doesn’t work,I will have to wait 2 years to try again.So, that’s m y story in a nutshell. So pip, don’t think that I’m a bad person, you just have to be in my shoes to understand where I’m coming from too.
