Adoption laws for military pesonal in Virgina?

I am trying to find out the laws and other info on military pesonal adopting their step children and what affect it will have on the biological father and his right to HIS children after they are adopted. If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

It is the same as with any step-parent adoption. You will have to retain an attorney who will then establish a guardian-in -liedum for the children. Home studies will be done to make sure you have the best interest of the child in tact and are capable of providing for them. If the father agrees to the adoption all he will have to do is sign the papers terminating his rights if he doesn't then you have to petition to have his rights terminated. Once an adoption is final then the biological father has no claim to the child or any rights unless the parents agree to it.
